A pair of Javanese baby birds are "lucky" to be alive. After discovering that they were nesting in the exhaust system of a jet plane

The birds hadn't eaten for days when engineers spotted them on an Airbus A320 during repairs in the Glamorgan Valley.slotxo

RSPCA Cymru later saved their lives before being sent to Gower Bird Hospital for recovery.

RSPCA Insp Simon Evans said: "I have no doubt they were rescued any time soon.
He added: "The Javan bird is less common than many people think. But rescuing every animal from an airplane is new to me.”

Javan falcon numbers declined in the 1970s, with about 46,000 mating pairs now in the UK. We were very fortunate that the mechanic did not start the plane's engine. Otherwise it will end in disaster,” Insp Evans said.
