TurboTax saves your tax returns under two formats, tax data file and as a Portable Document Format (PDF). Even though TurboTax itself does not have a way to convert your data from PDF to tax data file, you can always use a third party software such as Zamzar. These are the steps to use convert data using Zamzar:
• Upload your TurboTax files to Zamzar, enter your email id and click ‘Convert’
• Check your mail for a message that says "Converted File from Zamzar"
• Download the file on TXF format ant open it with TurboTax
If you are unable to open the file you can call the TurboTax Customer Service Number and ask for additional help.
