Hi, I enjoyed using your stat tracking website on another account and it works great I just have an issue involving non-ranked skills, and my current lower leveled account.

I would like to suggest implementing a more complex system for stat tracking of unranked skills. lets say I have 29 thieving. In a day I raise it to 40. when I do level it to 30, I logg out and runetrack then saves my rank (whatever it may be). Would it be possible to then begin allocating the remaining xp values for that week (from 30-40) to thieving? currently the "?" remains for the whole week, nullifying any xp on your table as well as chart. Using any "?" in rank calculations (and averages) as 2,000,000 I think would cover more areas (such as averages). I realise many people do not use this site with any unranked skills and it may not be worth the hassle, its just a suggestion.

I, however, registered my account when I had a few "?"s where the ranks and xp should be. I have certain goals for weekly/monthly xp gains per skill that are impossible to use when I do not have an average xp value, and I (though it may seem a bit unorthodox) enjoy working my skills from lowest rank onwards, or lowest xp/day. I was planning on changing my name and creating a new database to track my rank and xp (once I had everything ranked) had the update name tool not been available.

Though it may be a small thing, I wish to use my account on runetrack without these Question marks interfering with ranks and denying xp averages, is there anyway to go about doing this?

Hi theempe2xyuu,

I've read your post over a few times but I'm afraid I'm not following you completely. For example - on your User Profile page, it shows your current Strength xp, as well as the strength xp you've gained today, but indeed has a "?" mark for the weekly xp gain. However, this "?" mark is only temporary and will be replaced by actual values on Sunday morning at the start of the new week. Essentially, the "?" mark is only there for the weekly xp gain because you started the week with an unknown xp amount - it won't stay there forever, but will start showing actual xp/lvl values once the new week starts.

Are you referring to the "Stat Average Gains: All Time" chart on the User Stat Averages page (http://runetrack.com/averages.php?user=Theempe2xyuu) ? If so, I see your point there. It currently shows that you've lost 301,501 ranks in Strength, due to using your starting rank minus your current rank:

Strength | -301,501 | 14.2 | 152,411 (copied/pasted from your User Averages Page)

However, you're right that in your case, since your starting rank was -1 (not ranked) and current rank is 1,507,505 - the chart was incorrectly showing -301,501 as (-1 - 1,507,505)/(5 days of tracking) = -301,501 ranks as a daily average. I've now fixed it to use 2,000,000 (as you suggested) instead of -1 to mark unranked skills, so the Averages Chart now displays correctly that you've actually gained an average of 98,500 ranks per day:

Strength | 98,500 | 14.2 | 152,411

So that fix should clear up any issues with stat averages. Not sure if this is what you were referring to though - could you offer an example of what you'd like to see? :)

Sorry about my previous post, I've been told I'm horrible at explaining things xD. I'll drop what I was saying because its didn't really make sense.

The thing I was wondering is why the xp this week doesn't show the next day? though the person would've gained SOME xp before being listed by runetrack, if they were unranked it most probably would be negligable, so keeping a "?" there is most probably unecessary, though its upto your discretion. The chart also still counts my xp gain this week in strength, although its been removed from my personal records.

Ah ok, I think I understand now. :)

Well, it wouldn't necessarily be negligible. Take a look at the end of the highscores for Woodcutting: http://hiscore.runescape.com/overall.ws ... ory_type=0

For woodcutting, the xp to get the last rank is 447K at level 64. This means that if someone went from level 64 to level 65 in woodcutting, and the system counted their previous unranked xp value as 0, then they would instantly be marked as gaining 447K xp, even though they technically only gained a few K from level 64 to 65.

Not sure what you're referring to - nothing was removed from your personal records? The only Xp Gain in strength (http://runetrack.com/progress.php?user= ... l=strength) that doesn't count toward your Personal Records was when you first got it ranked on the highscores on July 19, going from -1 xp to 564,735 in the system (which of course wasn't what actually happened - you probably went from about 470K to 564,735, but the 470K was just below the 2M rank threshold).

Also, in the stat history page, where you compare your stats and xp from a previous date to some other date, would it be possible to edit the rank to 2,000,000 as well - its something minor but makes it look better I'd say.
Ah ok - see your point here. Technically it's not rank 2,000,000 that you start from, but when you reach a numerical rank on the highscores, I can go ahead and display that green rank increase. :)

So, for example, here: http://runetrack.com/history.php?user=T ... 23&y2=2010 - It will now show you gaining 740,257 ranks in the "Change" column for strength, as 2,000,000 - 1,259,743 = 740,257

That was what I was referring to, my xp chart at "xp distribution for this week" http://runetrack.com/profile.php?user=theempe2xyuu has 940,356 xp listed when the mouse hovers over the strength section of the chart, and displays it as 47.76%. my TOTAL strength xp is obviously 940,356, and though the 564,735 xp is removed from my "personal records" and such, it still contributes to this weeks xp on the pie chart.

sorry, I think I was doing something else while I typed this, sounds stupid to me now .
An example of what I was trying to suggest was this:
I get 65 strength on monday and immediatley logg out. Would it be possible to remove the "?" immediatley and begin counting the xp for that week, using my first register as a starting point and the previous "?" from monday, tuesday, ... , saturday as 0 xp.

an ideal implementation would be:
e.g. Monday I achieve 65 strength with 475,000 xp. I then logg out.
runetrack records my xp as 475,000 xp, (which later gets removed from my records and such).
I logg back in, gain another 50,000 xp. I then logg out and Runetrack uses my first recording of 475,000 xp and subtracts it from my current xp (525,000 xp) to calculate this weeks xp as 50,000 xp, and adds the previous 6 days of records as 0's. Whenever this weeks xp is wiped, the website then reverts to calculating my weekly xp by using my recordings off xp from the highscores.

As I said it would only be necessary to manually calculate these for the first week of xp gains. I only state these issues I have with it for aesthetic reasons. Sure I can survive a week without seeing my weekly xp gains :P .

Thanks for the short response time and quick fix ups, I'm surprised more people don't use this website :D .

Ah ok, I see - I've now fixed the pie chart to stop showing those inflated weekly xp gains (as yes, technically the 564,736 strength xp shouldn't have been factored in as you didn't really gain all of that on that day). :)

Alright, same issue as the pie chart here it seems - I've now written a fix for this and it'll be up sometime later this week. :)

thanks for the fixes, and I think I've cluttered this post a bit too much but here's another one > <.
In my records page http://runetrack.com/records.php?user=Theempe2xyuu in the table under the header of "Best RuneScape Ranks Ever Held: All Skills" my previously unranked skills all come up as having a "?" rather than their best ranks.

Thanks - now fixed.

And no worries - keep the bug posts going if you spot any. The site is so complex in some ways that it's impossible for me to test every variation for everyone's stats, so I definitely appreciate the help. :)
