I created competition trackers several weeks ago for an event that starts 5/25 (tomorrow). I am trying to update them by adding participants and the updates aren't being saved. I've been trying for hours and I was able to add only 4 or 5 names then it stopped saving my updates. I tried creating a new tracker and got this:

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/sword/public_html/competitions/includes/create_competition_success.php on line 2

Your Competition Tracker has been created!

Link to your competition tracker: http://runetrack.com/competitions/compe ... r.php?id=1

That link goes to a competition that took place in 2009 (judging from the id #, it was probably the first competition tracker created).

So I can't update or modify my event trackers (26 in all) and can't create new ones.

This is so very disappointing because whatever is causing this is not likely to be fixed by tomorrow. This time last year we had the same competition and Runetrack went down and stayed down, for several days before the event. It was never wrecking wondering if we could still have the competition. Now it happens again. Gah!

Having the same issue.
Can't create new one or update any.

Any word on when this might be corrected?

Thanks!
Jen

This site is a one man show and he doesn't show up frequently enough to fix bugs, crashes or hacks. We've already missed the start date of the event so its been postponed but realistically, I think we should cancel it altogether since there's no assurance, even if the no-show owner does show up to fix it, the site will stay healthy for the 2 week event. We just plain need a different site that is monitored daily. We've lost all confidence in this one.

I have sent him an email through the Board. I hope he gets it.
As a temporary fix I have created a spreadsheet and just manually entered everything. Took most of the afternoon.
I have been looking for another website. Haven't been able to find one similar to this one.

If anyone finds, please post link. Manually entering everyone's XP was not fun.

Thanks,
Jen

Since sword kill11 is the only administrator of this site, all the changes depend on him, and we haven't heard much from him in over a month. If you look him up, his RS account is f2p, so it's safe to say that he's not even active on RS. That makes me wonder what he's doing hosting a RS xp tracker if he himself isn't playing the game!

Hi,

Sorry for the issue. This should now be fixed. :)

Let me know if you notice it not working correctly again.

Every time I try to make a tracker it gives me the link below. That tracker has Zezima and some other people on it, not my clan. Is the problem on my end, or is Runetrack broken?

It appears to be working for me.

Is anyone else having this issue or is it working for others?

It seems when you try to add a large amount of people to the competition it kicks it back out as well as saying the some people aren't on high scores which is impossible since they are members and maxed players.

When creating a new Competition with more than 9 members it will give you the error that everyone is posting about.

It is not fixed.

Again, if someone knows of another site that works similar please post link.

I did a bit more work on it and it should be fixed now.

I was able to create this tracker with 100+ players without any issues: http://runetrack.com/competitions/compe ... p?id=15738

To all those above who had issues with it - please let me know if it's working now. Thanks!

It's working fine, when I imported clan members and hit remove all non registered or w/e, it worked fine, so I hit start competition like normal but it told me there were more non registered users, although they were registered. So i hit the check button again and it created the competition and the 2nd group of people seemed to still be in there anyway. Wasnt a problem but just wanted to let you know

I was able to create trackers finally but am not able to update them. I cant add or delete participants. This meant I had to wait until just hours before the competition started to create trackers (again) so I could add everyone. Still, I got an occasional error saying so-and-so is not on RS hi scores even though I had successfully created trackers with that same individual. I kept updating and it finally took.

Thanks for all your hard work to get this functional again but there not quite out of the woods yet.
