Unfortunately, this is a feature, not a bug. Would be great if Sword made it possible to keep the gained xp with changed names.

hi i changed my name from Grimezy to GangNan Styl and i changed my name on the clan competition and my name doesn't come up but my other account grimezy went to the bottom and i lost all my xp, please can any1 help???? |

Unfortunately at this time there is no way to change a player's name in a Clan Competition while the competition is in-progress. Name Changes made via the Change Display Name form (http://runetrack.com/change_name.php) update your display name across all user profiles, Daily High Scores, and Global Records, but not Clan Competitions - mostly for the reason that players added to clan competitions don't require RuneTrack accounts and thus aren't tied in to the main system which processes name change requests. The best solution is to simply add the new display name to the competition, and calculate the total gained for that player by adding the xp gained across both display names. I hope to have a feature which allows users to change their display names within Clan Competitions at some point in the future. |
