I just want to know that What’s new in this ‘Enhanced Voice Search’ on Roku.

It is important for people to know that ‘Voice Search’ is a feature that was already available on Roku but with certain reservations. In previous ‘Roku Voice Search’, people were not able to find a specific movie and/or TV show through voice commands. The maximum they can see on their screens is a list of shows and/or movies.

As well as Enhanced Voice Search, OS 8.1 update will also bring private listening to the Roku mobile app for up to four concurrent devices. This means that when you’re streaming something from the app to your TV, you’ll be able to plug in a set of headphones and listen to the sound privately.

The Streaming Stick+ and mobile app already support voice search, but the new enhanced version will be able to understand more natural language and more specific commands. For example, if you want to watch films featuring Jim Carrey, you would currently just need to say his name and the app or Roku device will return all films featuring him.
