Miami Spice 2021: Where To Eat From August 1 To September 30 ![]() For the past 20 years, the months of August and September in Miami are some of the busiest for anyone who loves food. Miami Spice is a two-month-long restaurant promotion, organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau's (GMCVB), in which participating restaurants offer three-course menus at reduced prices. “Miami Spice Months launched in 2001 to breathe life into the hospitality industry during the formerly slow summer season and blossomed into a full-fledged celebration of Greater Miami and Miami Beach's rich culinary scene,” William D. Talbert III, C.D.M.E., President and CEO of the GMCVB shares with Forbes. “Knowing the potential of this program to bring restaurant-goers out in droves, we’re expecting the 20th year of Miami Spice to bring much-needed relief to the F&B sector.” From August 1 through September 30, 2021, participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe Miami Spice menus of $28 for lunch/brunch and $42 for dinner. These prices include an appetizer, entrée and dessert. (Tax, tip, and libations are additional.) The slight increase in price this year, according to GMCVB is “a result of direct feedback from restaurateurs… to help offset rising costs of ingredients and operations.” pgslot This year’s 140-plus participating restaurants span many different neighborhoods across the city and include a number of newcomers like Ambersweet at The Confidante Miami Beach, Café Americano South Beach, Chica, La Giuletta, Maia House, Mayami Mexicantina, Planta Queen, Red Rooster Overtown, Strawberry Moon at The Goodtime Hotel, and Wayku. “Spice provides a price point that makes it extremely accessible for people who might not usually dine with us regularly and also gives people a chance to try new things,” says Ian Fleischmann, executive chef at Strawberry Moon, the Mediterranean restaurant at Pharrell Williams and David Grutman’s The Goodtime Hotel. Hummus, kefte meatballs and pide are some of the appetizers guests can choose from, alongside mains like swordfish shawarma and branzino. For an additional $29, they can have a sommelier’s pairing with each course. |
