Oh, that's cool - at least there was one benefit to the highscores update I guess (not that that makes up for much). Now that all of the F2P accounts are off the highscores, there's no longer a cut off for commonly-trained skills.

Previously you needed to be about level 65 strength to appear on the RuneScape highscores - now you only need to be level 15. So I suppose pulling from the Adventure Log is now pretty unnecessary, as the lite highscores will provide all the skills levels for most people.

Also, here's something interesting - check out the last page of the Overall highscores: http://services.runescape.com/m=hiscore ... ory_type=0 (note that that's a link to the current last page, so you'll need to continue paging back a few to get to the end as it'll change by the time you've read this).

It appears that the Overall highscores actually go to the very end in showing anyone with 34 Total Level (the lowest total level possible, as there's 24 regular skills + 10 initial Constitution skill levels). So essentially, would I be right to assume that the Overall highscores are actually now showing an accurate count of RuneScape Members?

If so, 580K Members seems like a concerning figure for Jagex - they had over 1 million members back in 2007 (http://news.runescape.com/newsitem.ws?id=789). :?

Edit: Actually, judging by how fast the ranks on the Overall Highscores are increasing, it's likely that the RuneScape Highscores are only showing Members accounts which have logged in recently (sometimes they do this during highscore updates, and accounts only reappear after they log into the game). So I guess we'll have to wait a few days to get an accurate count. I'm interested in seeing whether it's above or below 2007's 1 million mark.

When RS2 was released, some players from RSC were carried over to RS2 and given an HP (Constitution) level of 9 instead of 10 due to a change in the XP-to-level formula, so that would explain how that player got a total level of 1 lower than everyone else.

I realize this topic is rather old, but the forums don't seem to be particularly active anyway...

I was just wondering what the reaction would be to culling through the adventurer's log for quest point updates, rather than us having to manually update it? Since I use a custom picture background for my signature, it's a real pain to update quest point increases (which is why I haven't bothered since 316 QP even though I have them all). If it takes less than two seconds, I would personally find that to be an acceptable wait for that feature.

From this sentence it sounds like you're re-uploading the picture every time to change your quest points? Quest points can actually be updated fairly easily via the image URL - simply edit your forum signature and change the Quest Point number.

For example:

Yields (notice 316 QP):

Whereas:
http://runetrack.com/sigs/stat/wq8wryc/pose/320/Sangheillioz.png

Yields (notice 320 QP):

And another fun tip - the "wq8wryc" part actually references your custom background image. So others can actually share the image as well without having to upload it themselves by using this URL:
http://runetrack.com/sigs/stat/wq8wryc/pose/300/Zezima.png

Ah, well that does make it a bit simpler. Hadn't interrogated the link much, probably could have found that out if I'd been more analytical. Thanks for the tips!
