Recently, there has been an increase in the number of cases identified when current footballers and coaches place bets on their own matches. "RB Business" has found out exactly how dishonest athletes are identified.
The latter case became known in May: according to RB Sport, the Ethics Committee of the Russian Football Union is considering a statement about four players, two of them play for Inter Cherkasy and Kolomna (PFL).
Prior to that, the ethics committee disqualified five players of the Barnaul Dynamo for playing the sweepstakes, conditionally removed two players from the Sochi system and disqualified Chaika's sports director Oleg Bayan.
The press service of the RFU explained how the procedure for identifying bets made by players is going on.
According to the representative of the RFU, the information comes to the Department of Game Protection (DZI) from bookmakers and the early warning system for fixed matches (EWS) of FIFA.
“In addition, DZI employees regularly review and analyze video recordings of football matches for dubious actions. If the behavior of the players or referees raises doubts, a check begins, including in cooperation with bookmaker companies, ”said the Russian Football Union.
The organization notes that it is checking all possible information about the strange nature of the match.
